Rock Chip Repair
|
In cases of minor breakage, a windshield repair - instead of a full replacement - can often restore the integrity of the glass. Rock chip repairs are safe, effective and convenient- they take less than 30 minutes! Since the cost of a repair is significantly less than having a windshield replaced entirely, insurance companies usually pay for the rock chip repair, and waive your deductible, which means you get your windshield repaired at no cost to you.

How a rock chip repair works:
The technician injects a resin-based bonding agent into the damaged area. This stops the windshield from cracking further and restores optical clarity. Once a repair is complete, the driver's view is no longer impaired by the damage even though if you look closely there will be some residual scarring where the glass was filled with the bonding agent. |
Safety should never be compromised for cost and convenience, so if there is any question whether a windshield should be repaired or replaced, both the insurance company and Joe’s Auto Glass will insist on replacement. However, when a windshield can be repaired, you'll save money and you can drive the vehicle right away. |
